I was comparing the 4 bolt Empi header on my ghia to the others on beetles and it's different. Is it listed somewhere that the headers are ghia specific ? or are they suppose to be the same as beetles ?

This is the one on my ghia.

The ghia one is the same as the catalog.  the one you have found from the samba is not the same as the catalog.

I think the Cyclones were all three bolt flange.  At least mine is, and it's an early one.

Yes I agree I looked at all my cyclone headers last nite and they are all 3 bolt flange. The Empi Header I have is exactly like the one in the catalog and it appears to be chrome but the chrome is really bad  Cry

EMPI headers were originally "flash chromed", whatever that means.

Flash hard chrome plating, also referred to as functional chrome plating, is applied as a thinner layer. It is ideal for close tolerance applications where an excessive build up of chrome is undesirable and where the requirement is to provide a durable hard wear-resisting surface.
