How do you tell if a Empi steering wheel horn button is real, it looks nice and old, with EmpiGT script in middle, what else do I need to look at?

thanks Richie

I have a fake one and the original in my steering wheel and they are both different size.
Maybe if you say the diameter somebody can tell it is fake or not.
Or i'm sure sombody will tell it if they see a picture of it.

The gold / chrome finish on the ring and Empi logo is not possible to reproduce by hand.
You can see a difference : the repro one has a gold paint that is not shinny.
The original one have a gold / chrome ring and logo very shinny.
To have that chrome finish, you have to use a flash of chrome that can be made only in a space without air (a box for exemple), the flash of chrome is added by a specific tool that can't be made on a homemade repro.
