Hi Andy,

Be aware, some of them (most of them) do not cool very well and are not worth more than you would get in return for the glassfiber. If you take a look at some of the pictures on Don Pauters website you will see
the work he have done in order to direct the airflow to all the cylinders.

Hi,
Oh I'm totally aware that nearly all are just a hollow bag of poo and they over and undercool, but was thinking I'd get 4 thermocouples and a 4 way switch to see which are hot/cold and add fins to get as close to even cooling asi can, which I know can be done. I'll check his website, cheers Smiley
This is the one part of my engine build where looks its taking president, I just love the look!

Hi Andy

If your feeling adventurous, there is a 911 shroud on eBay at the moment - bright green !!

£80 or best offer.

Thanks

Hi Darren,

actually just brought one then read this, luckily that green one is a 911 6 cylinder one and a bit too much fab work for me. if i was more crafty with fibre glass or carbon fibre i'm sure i could make one but i'm not sadly!

Need to machine my fan ring down to 260mm next, tempted to do it my self using hand/power tools and taking my time. i don't have a lathe and also putting a fan ring in a lathe worries me a tad! i'll think it over for a while and ask a friend with a machine shop...

cheers for the help guys
