Yeah I saw that. IMHO the only advantage to Fontana is the 1/4 mile strip instead of the 1/8 at Irwindale. Everything else is better at Irwindale. Of course, Irwindale's future has been shaky so I can see the desire to secure a location that's more stable.

The layout of the show is being totally revised. From what i understand, the show and shine will be behind the bleachers and far more accessible in an effort to keep the event more centralised. I prefer Fontana as a racer because it's safe. Irwindale is in terrible shape, and the shut-down area is narrow, rough and both lanes need to filter down into one lane to then turn almost 90 degrees through a narrow gateway. No fun when slowing from well over 100mph... Fontana? Count me in! Cool
