First the Bug was restored and build more stock.
But I´ve visited more and more Shows and read as much Dub-magazines as I could. So I decided it has to belowered.

Nearly every winterseason I changed the wheels.
...I have a quirk for wheels and steering wheels.  Cheesy

Here are some Pics:

Nice bug, the gold wheels look great with that light blue, also a big fan of gasburners i think a set in flat dark grey would look great with that colour too.

Thanks, at the Moment I like the Sprint Stars the most. But I´m thinking about detailed 16" Fuchs with 6 & 7" width.
May I play with a set of chromed steelies.  Roll Eyes

I´m not sure about the lowering in the back. It was done by a friend and I think it`s one outer spline.

THe plan for this winter is to Change the rear lights and Change the antenna. I like the old split antennas in the Center of the windshield...

Just a small update:

I picked up a front Hood from an Oval Bug for cheap.
The plan is to weld up the trim holes and to make it ready for paint.
I´d like to change the front Hood cause my Bug has no side trim. It`s a little more cal look.  Cool

I hope next week I can spend so more time in the Garage... Sad

I tried the chromed steelies yesterday. I have two 4,5x15" at the front and two 5,5x15" at the rear.
But after installing them I didn´t like it.  Undecided

I thought I would look great, but I prefer the Empi`s...

(the 4,5" are Lemmerz stamped 11/57)  Cool

Today I tried some new wheels on my Bug...again.  Grin
These are centerline copies made bei American Racing Wheels (AEW). Size is 5,5"x15".
At the moment the tires are 185/55-15 in front and 195/65-15 at the back.

I´m not sure if they suit my car.
What´s your thought?

The fake centerlinest really suit it - a definite mid 80's look to it!

I had this Hirschmann Redtip Antenna laying around for quite a while.
And with just some days ahead of Hessisch Oldendorf I thought I´d give it a try.
The old antenna was put in the Garage and I had to drill two holes.
But I really like the result.

Wheels again....
I didn´t like the look of the polished BRM-Repros I got. Hence I tried sprayfoil in gold but again I dislike the look.
Time to sell them.  Sad
The Sprint Stars are still the best at the moment in my opinion.

...stay home and work on your VW...
At the moment I'm trying to mount the correct taillights in my Bug.
Way better than the newer ones. Cool

I don't know if it's just the camera angle, but it does look like the new (correct!) taillights point outwards. They've not been cut for a buggy, have they?

Yes, from this pic it looks like the taillights point outwards, but I hope I´ve positioned them correct.
I`ll upload a better picture soon. Then the taillights are painted to match the blue.

So I hope the taillight-position is ok.
I tried some new wheels as well.
The centercolor could be a bit darker...what do you think?
