why the big no no on a shot of gas ?as this would give you a 11-12 second racecar that could be ratioed to run nice on the street and work great on the track?
that would be the best of both worlds and a nitrous setup for a small shot could be less than 500 quid to do
I went from NA to nitrous then turbo and nitrous to just turbo. Nitrous is fun but expensive and is getting harder to find here in Norway. Besides the nitrous safety rules are not easy to adapt to a street car. A turbo engine is lazy and soft on parts until you start to boost it. And turbo gear ratios are also long and cruise friendly.
I like the idea with the rocker ratios. I remember that the only nitrous car in the fastest class during drag week did the same. I have to say that I also agree with K-Roc. If you have a engine that pulls strong from low rpms you are able to avoid changing gears so often. Play around with the gear ratios and tire sizes and you can make it a better cruiser.
