Best ET might be a low number of seconds...I lean more to other values....like most fun ET........I had a race with a guy from Finland. At that time Cal-look was not to common so we are facing each other in a race and everything is pumped up. We both do great burn-outs and cars have proven rather close ET's so it is tense.......Pre-stage, stage and the yellow lamps starts to blink and my friend redlights.....I barley see it happen while letting my clutch out and I take of for maximum 0.2 second and the gear is pushed out and my car stops after about 3 feet or so.........I won the race whitout even getting a 60 foot time and worse no one even came to the finish line but we had a laugh. That is my best ET so far!!!!!

My lowest would be my 'moody' 12 

Best proven is my 14.0's, bloody loads of them too with no sight of a 13.9 to be found 

Most fun, would be either Big Bang last year when I had numerous grudge matches with Stringy's awesome looker. We were 0.1 of a second apart all day! Him being quickest due to the polish job on his car I reckon, as I had more drag on my dirty paintwork 

Either that or racing a Skyline at Santa Pod a few years ago, the look on his face when I found traction and pulled along side him was priceless, even more so when I went past him  He didn't stop to collect his timing slip so I could speak to him though... Wonder why?

Next year I hope to see a 'proper' 12 second with my new motor. That'll be my best ET in so many ways

I've set a goal in my head thats been very hard to shake. I wish I was one of the guys running a wassercase or modifed welded aluminum 4 bore  but I'm just running a 2332cc.  I have no intentions of going high c/r or artificial HP makers but I've set my goals to run consistant 11's in a street car.  I recall talking to Mark H and Bill Shwimmer who have really inspired me to make my pumpgas street car to go as fast as possible with no power adders.  Last year I had several hiccups like exploding tranny to experimenting  with Ti valves mated with  regular hardened valve seats pounding the valves face to hell tuliping them.

Heres a vid of me racing a far from stock SVT cobra. The ford's driver was very confident of himself with the look i got from him at the starting line. Its not common to have an import car running with v8 outlaw class at  our local track but as of recent they allow the rear wheel drive beetle w/ slicks run with the bigger boys. Not my fastest run but certainly a rewarding one since I knew my engine that year was low on HP and the track was slick due to water being dragged from the front wheel drive imports.

This year with a tweek here and tweek there and a fresh tranny built by Bruce Tweddle, Kroc (Darren Krewenchuk) ported heads got my 94 octane pumpgas street car into the consistant 11's.  Without a question its been a great considering that air got humid by the minute killing HP. Best ET ever from my fairweather daily driver.

My best wasn't my quickest to date but was a 13.5 I ran towards the end of last year, at the quarter the car clocked 100.2 running through the line in third. The set up was weak in that it was only its second time out after a refresh. It didn't have adequate ignition and the engine was running fat on account of the fact that it was still on its Bitburg set up which was done real quick having just slung the motor back in the car to drive it the 480 miles to the track and back. What made it memorable is that It was the number I'd always wanted, a 13 into the 100's as that was a respectable time as far as street was concerned when I first started getting the motor together 11 or so years ago. When we stuck this motor back in the microwave for a re-heat there was the possibility of setting it to 'kill' but in the end the conclusion reached was to was stick to the original big lazy formula as it'd do the job as it has done all along.

Best (as in lowest) for me was a 12.093 @ 109.77 against Johnny Grigg's '72 in Headstraight, my '66 chop top. We were dialled in very closely around the 12.20 mark, but I red-lit by a couple of thousandths - as soon as the red came on I just decided to hammer it and so what it would do! Satisfying!

Favourite race ever would probably be one of the ones when I was running a 1584 instead of the 2276, much less money invested so a complete giggle running 15's and just blasting as fast as that poor little motor would go (theres a theme here I think...)
