Can't they just deliver your new car still in the container and leave it with you?  Wink Smiley

My garage...

Unfortunately it's very easily filled (but it does give a nice view at the bottom of the garden! Cheesy)

Not a lot of room for project cars though...

The problem with a big garage is you just fill it up with more stuff. Only age will make you realize you will not be 150 years old so 10 cars will be plenty. My problem is I can not throw anything away so I keep getting new storage places all the time. How many front beams does one guy need? 25 is a nice round figure. Cranks? 200 hundred is my limit.Engine cases? 35-40 ? will it be enough? Why is it so hard to just chuck old stuff in the garbage? You tell me, I just cant do it.If a bolt has kamax written on it I feel like a criminal throwing it away.I do have good days when everything  goes in the garbage that can not be restored. Any more people ouy ther with the same problem?

Actually, I tend to get rid of stuff then end up needing it. I sold a complete 2332 long block w/ flanged crank, wessco pistons, scat rods & cnc heads two years ago because I didn't think I would use it. Now I am regretting it.  Undecided I have also sold off sheet metal, hoods, doors, decklids then finding out on my next project I could have really used it. Oh well, easy come easy go.

Here are some pics of my new improved work shop. I used to have my Ghia stored in a garage with no light, no electricity. Now my girlfriend (she owns the 66 Resto Cal bug and half of the 71 DeLuxe L), our buddy Jörg (59 standard, split standard) and I have 150 square meter. Sounds like a lot, but we filled up most of the space already.

Still not everything in place, but we are working on it. Will post better pictures as soon as if it looks better. BTW, the Jetta is Jörgs daily. Usually his 59 standard is blocking the space of the Jetta in the picture.

Our three cars: My girls 66, my 69 Ghia and our 71 DeLuxe L

Here is Jörgs standard split on the lift. I always try to tell him that this is the perfect base car for a looker. No trim holes... but he wants to bring it back to it's original stock glory.

This is what mine looks like. In addition to what you see here, do I have some 15 m2 in a room in the back, where I am building my engine.

The last picture indicates why a heated garage is nice in Norway. Mine is fully insulated with heated floors :-)
