After going at the Kid-Dean Squareback kinda gently at first, we soon realised it really needed fully taking back to bare metal.... This thing had been painted too many times already...., and now we're making much better progress...
We're aiming to have this at the Volksworld show next April

Hoping to get my bus project in over the winter.... We've been clearing out and trying to create some extra space..
I've been on it at home, over the weekends this summer and apart from the side cargo doors and roof, it's pretty much all prepped now...
This is the bus I bought from Zach...it's going to the Stutt-Bee team/race support vehicle.... So, lots of gold metalflake, black and more metalflake, logo'd & signwriting like the Stutt-Bee.
I'm quite excited about this one!

Watch this space.....

Jick

Great work, what's better is that when you move on a SPECIAL car you hope the new owner sees the historic and importance of the car.

You do 110%

Thank you

Can't wait to see the kid dean square at VW2016

And s little race against you in stutter would be fun ?

Cheers and well done, your shops work looks fantastic

Excellent wheel choice.   I was never convinced by the Marathon wheels with caps!

Thanks Richard!

Yes.....with only one or two exceptions, everyone I have discussed it with agrees that those Marathons were awful..... I think these Empi's will suit it's Build style and era much better...

So it's been a very busy winter at the shop.... Here's a little taster of just some of what we've been up to...... Full strip and back to bare metal repaint on Wayne 'intergalactic custom shop' Allmans Hudson Rambler

3 Stage pearl white with vintage 1960's gold micro flake in the clear, and Suzuki blueberry metallic with Painthuffer purple flake over the top.

Dougie from Aberdeen wanted a gold flake roof for his Manx project that Robs hooking him up with...
He was after something with an "Inch Pincher" vibe in varying shades of gold.
We used House of Kolors Metajuls coarse metallic basecoat with Kandy Spanish/Pagan and Lime Gold panels....

Really enjoyed this one!

Thanks guys!

You're right Lee...I'm very lucky to have a great team.
Tony painted Wayne's Rambler & the Kid-Dean car
Terry painted the Bay and does all the everyday paint stuff.
I painted Dougie's roof, and Richards fantastic bodywork skills make it easy for us.... Grin

And yes, See you at Volksworld!

And finally, my 66 bus project is slowly progressing, it's still a long way off getting painted, but that's not stopping me from getting bits & pieces ticked off the list..,...

The fuel tank and seat frames should give you an idea that this isn't going to be another stock type resto or a slammed rat looker....😀
