What other mods are needed to fit them? Bodywork, Tinware etc?

The front mount looks like a standard solid mount  Huh

Cheers, Nick.

You won't need to modify the body, I put mine up 1 1/2" and just the middle of the back of the parcel floor needed modifying just a very little, so 1" will be OK.
Not sure if you'll need to modify the tinware, I got rid of the rear section on mine, but other than that didn't touch anything.

Cheers, what model is your car?
I'm building a 67 1200.

Nick, it may be worth bearing in mind the mods you may have to make getting an exhaust to clear valance wings etc. Mine is a bit more at 2" raised and it hits everything (Speedshop 1 3/4 and turbo muffler, about to be cut into many parts and made fit!), but I'm pretty sure it would have fouled the valance quite a bit even at 1" raised.

Hi dude.
Thanks for the info.
Getting a custom exhaust made so that won't bother me.
Nose cone is the only worry I have, I have been told another type can be fitted?

Cheers Richie.

Found that out the other day.

Any UK company sell them? I've found one in the US made by ERCO.

Cheers, Nick

I've got a feeling VW Heritage sell them, or at least the modern re-issues from South America.

Think this is the correct one.

Not sure about the hockey stick, must be this one with a kink?

Try Pete at Cogbox for a rebuilt one? Repro screams at me that it won't be too good and not want you want with a gearbox

The new ERCO ones are good quality.
