looking to buy a 82mm forged crank VW journal, narrowed down to CB and Scat Volksracer, prices about the same range.

anyone has experience with them ? good, bad etc.

There is a little difference in how they do the final finish. but strength wise there is no or very little difference.

My understanding of the various china cranks is that they are all the same forging and material, but machine work and heat treat is different.

DPR, original vw forging, otherwise flip a coin between CB and Scat both good cranks.
