Every once in a blue moon, I find a gem or two on the internet.  I really like the Bangshift website and look at it occasionally.  I found some great old shots of both cars in their photos from the Sanair NHRA drag race in 1972.  There are at least several sets of photos from the event, so check them all out for some cool pics.  It's like finding a really good Easter Egg!

A guy who works for Bill Mitchell told me that Bill cut up Thunderbug, when he got pissed off that NHRA banned him, I think that was the later generation car with the laid back window. I think the early Thunderbug was crashed?
