First thought is this is not a good thing for our hobby.

Agreed. I would love to be proven otherwise.

Maybe its just me but Empi's latest advert in ultra vw does seem to suggest they are increasing their quality emphasis . The heads in particular look interesting and are endorsed by Fred Simpson

I sell and install a lot of EMPI stuff at my shop and I've found that their quality has gotten a lot better.

Regardless off what many might think about Empi's recent history/quality issues, let's ALL hope that this is (possibly) the start of something better.

Here's hoping Cool

Oh dear! But inevitable I suppose, look what's happened in the UK, one big company swallows all the little ones and its all a big merged pile of shit!

Good news for some of the small guys though, like JPM, Bergs, Geers, RLR, Jaycee etc.

I dont like using the word 'quality' when talking about products in some respects.
As a concept 'Quality' is making something to spec. That's the definitiion of it. A 'quality' part can be made to a low spec, so long as it meets the spec, within the (widley set, low precision) tolerance.
When we talk about quality what we really mean is Fit For Purpose.
Hopefully Bugpack's aquisition by EMPI will see an increase of fit-for-purpose products, with a more durable material spec and closer precision fit for purpose, which has hindered the previously great name of EMPI, which creates the feeling of 'quality' being by expecting fit for purpose proucts.
