I have the volksworld issue were your car is featured in around the late 90-ies...(the 1600cc with the ida's
) A lot changes are made since then I see: rollcage, nos, rims, etc...

Thise roll bar lookes to the extreme similar to the one I did in my beater before SCC. The back bones comes down to the frame horns just in front of the driveshafts right? I wonder if this does stiffen up the frame horns without bars going past the door openings.

You're correct Jhu,
The Bars go down to the Frame Horns and are welded on just in front of the Rear Axles...
Concerning the Door Bars don't know, but I like the added protection...

Having had someone run into the side of my '60, I like the added protection of door bars too!
Just a question, if you're going to the effort of putting in that much cage, why not add the front part too and make it into a full cage?

I'd not even thought about the vent windows! My old '66 was fully caged but that was roof-chopped and had fixed windows and no glovebox!
