But, wait... I built my car in 1979, initially. Oh, well... missed the '80s.

can you confirm if this car was owned by an dkk member Huh

an 54 cab

Fabs it was my car (previously Fred Elliot, Brian Plummer then I got it) I went through the car when I got it, built a big ass motor and gearbox then put it on eight spokes then alloys.

Did it have late model pan? What did happen to it? Swapping the late model pan was probably more common at some time than today but as it's '54, did it end up to Steve Beecher?

scott anderson 67 pink looker

cars like this one just made me squirm. Why would anybody ever do this to a car?   ???I remember when so many cars featured in Hot VW's resembled this. Looks like an ice cream sundae.

All these 80's cars, with the geometric stripes and vivid graphics just make me think of those really bad ' shell suit' things.

They were both popular at the same time so.......

Are there any pictures of Bugs & Shell Suits??? (God I Hope Not Roll Eyes)

All these eighties cal look cars have brought back memories of all those young ladies  (some attractice and some proper mingers) who adorned the pages of Hot VW's back in the day. One whose name as always stuck (much like the pages of the mag after a long "read") was Shannon Rae who is still rather hot, so all that time alone wasn't in vain if you know what I mean. Try googling her, I would!!

lots of love

I can also remember Hot VW's & VW Trends seemed to be full of swimsuit models draped over a parade of 'graphiced' Beetles..

I certainly didn't like many of those cars, as they just weren't my thing at all.
