Cool   (red cal-look)

Ah yes, the red '67 owned by the Mongoose himself. Cool  The guy who built that car is the same guy (Ken Reese) that painted my tullip yellow '70 pictured earlier in this post. Grin

You would not believe the condition that the car was in before Ken got a hold of it.  It looked like someone had danced on the roof!  It was a mess.  As I recall, Tom didn't want to wait to find some real fuchs and asked Ken to install some copies, and the engine was a mild daily driver combo.  The car turned out very nice.

Todd Riffey!  We grew up together and played little league baseball on the same team.  I didn't even know he was into bugs until I saw the feature, after high school!  Blew some dust off the cranium there........

I have shoeboxes full of pictures from Pleasanton Bug Bash from the late '80's, not very many "cool" traditional cal-look cars like the Aronson-look cars, in fact probably none. Many pastel colored cars, lots of Porsche cookie cutter mags, lowered front and rear, lots of '68 and up cars. Someday I will get them scanned and I will post some of them.
cool jim made that for us  Wink
