But this, seriously, was my first car. Mom & Dad bought it for me in the '60s. I remember it well.



 Then, at seventeen, I bought my first real car in 1979. A 1966 Beetle that was only 13 years young. Originally factory white with a brown interior. Later, orange with a custom naugahyde interior by Suzy at VeeDub Seatcovers in Orange County.



(edit) Hey, just noticed that Rayburn's parents graced him with the same car as mine. COOL! My ladders were on the outside. Looks like John's were on the inside. Heavy.
