Hardly any race cars. Drag strip opened at 9.00am. Not a single car waiting to run, even at 10.45. Not one. Gone were true days of cars waiting in a line that stretched back to the pit area. There were some race cars there that didn't even make a single pass, just spent the entire weekend in the pits or on a trailer. Lengthy downtime waiting for people to come to the lanes to run.

Without the Gasser Garage entourage, there was no focus...

as a former racer at EBI I can remember the lines before the burnoutbox... the amount of time waiting at the back of the track because everybody wanted to run . I am without a car now and regretfully so because at EBI run after run after run could have been done.... but it didnt happen.
I was wondering about the cars that didint even run either.... They we're international visitors...
I didn't understand it either.

All in all a great weekend but way bellow potential

slallom was great but no drivers...
drag was great but no cars
burnout sucked because almost no cars...drifting by bastouil rocked
show and shine was nice
empi tent was long overdue, loved it

i think don wore his voice out asking for the racers to come up and race! lol
it was frustrating to wait for the racing and a little embarrassing for the organisers .
it was my first time there so didnt really know what to expect but even i was getting bored waiting come the end.thank god for dyno don!!

i'll post pics later.plenty on FB though!

Sad thing, in the end we were always the sane to run.. Me as more others had a very long trip to get there, got windshield craked by a stone hitted by a car stared before me, track was not prepared and not cleaned, but that's EBI!! If we did nit had it we surely said we want it in europe, now we have and it does not respond our dues. The EBI are us, if we will not trust in it will dissolve and stop. Please do not let it happen.

Sorry, that's BS. John Hackney did an amazing job of sweeping the track and using the small amount of glue he had available to the best effect. I walked part of the track and looked closely at the startline. Too many 'racers' are quick to blame the track.
