Anyone have a tire size recommendation for a Baywindow bus? Looking at getting 15" wheels. The Bus will probably not be lowered. I was thinking a 195/65-15 or 205/65-15 with a load range of 94 or higher.
Thanks! Ed

Taller than that for a stock height bus. These are about as close to stock as you can get in diameter without getting too wide and having fitment issues: http://simpletire.com/nexen-sv820-tires

OK. Thanks for the info. I'm ok if they are a little shorter. My tires now are 25.5 tall so was planning on some close to that.

In that case, Continental makes a nice 195/70r15 (25.7") that would be suitable for a bus. You could get them at a local tire shop.

Anyone have any experience with 6 or 7" Fuchs or cookie cutters with adapters on a Baywindow bus. Years ago I has 14x5.5 with no issues but not sure if the 7's will fit with 205 or 216/65's.
Thanks!

Hi Ed, this site really helps with tyre sizes http://www.willtheyfit.com/I've got 5.5x15 ET25 Sprintstars with a 5mm spacer & 195/65/15 tyres on my '69 and they are tight to the arch. If it's a late bus you'll have more room.

I run 7" cookies on the rear of my 69 bay, with 195/70 continentals, they are a fight fit, i have 5mm to the arch. This with redrilled drums and exessive camber due to it beeing lowered, so stock hight with that combo and adapters would probably hit the arch.

Hi Ed,is your bay an early(5x205) or later(5x112)?...can make a difference in sizing and needed adapters...I've been down this road with my 71bay(slightly lowered)
