I know what you mean but this colour needs chrome I had thoughts to paint the chrome trim in car colour but i am not very good in photoshop to see what it will look like... First i will try to check out how it looks undetailed. If i doesn´t like it they will be detailed like the originals. Tires are Firestone F560 in 135 and 165 in the rear. The Sprintstars were welded down to 4" and in the rear up to 5,5". I think this will look fine when the is lowered a little bit more. That´s the plan If someone is interested what i am doing next this is my blog: http://kaeferhauptquartier.blogspot.de/Regards Ben

You've done a great job with your car and as long as you like it, that's all that matters. I think you're on the right path, update the wheels and tires, update the engine and you have an awesome car! Keep going!

No Stevo. It will never be "original" again At the weekend i mounted the Sprintstars but i don´t like the complete chrome look on the wheels so i decided to detaile them in the original look with a little bit more shine. This work will take many hours. It´s not easy to detail the small curves in the corners. But the final result will be awesome i think. On sunday i took the bug out of the garage for a little bit cruisin around the block Ben

Hello Tobi, thanks for the flowers I am looking forward to finish the wheels as fast as possible... Yes it was featured in the german VW Scene a few years ago.But with the old Ben´s Garage Look. In the new look no one likes to feature it Steve the Idea with the spinning tripod is very interesting. I am always doing the indian dance when painting wheels I will built me such a thing in winter. At the moment i don´t know if I like it or not.The style of the car is completely different now. I think it looks a little bit more sporty and bad. What do you think ? Cheers Ben

The engine is still a 1300ccm Monster But the original one.I am saving money for an other engine projekt which will be in the bug at the end of the next year Your guys really now that this crazy shit will really take a lot of money. I love DFL Olafs Old Engine. Maybe it will be something like that... Thanks for the Note Mate. That was one of the problems i first didn´t understand. It´s my first linkage I changed it and i think it will work now... Ben
