Hi
My Name is Ben and i am from Germany.I am not for sure if i can post anything here because my car has not the classic cal look. I think it ´s a Resto Cal Custom  Grin
But in future there will be some changes for the Look and on the engine. But later more.Just take a look on the pictures. I always say: Love it or hate it  Tongue

My Dad and me did nearly everything for our selve. Hope you like it...
4 Years ago it looked that way...

In the Future there will be some Riechert Double Carbs with Fram Oil Filter and some upgrades on the Cylinder heads and the rocker arms so i hope there will be a few more horses in the trunk. "New" South African Sprintstars will also be on the car. I only need to mount them on the car...

The Colour is the Original Brezel Colour L51 Bordeaux Red with a little secret ingredients Cool I love the colour totally

I know what you mean but this colour needs chrome  Grin I had thoughts to paint the chrome trim in car colour but i am not very good in photoshop to see what it will look like...
First i will try to check out how it looks undetailed. If i doesn´t like it they will be detailed like the originals. Tires are Firestone F560 in 135 and 165 in the rear. The Sprintstars were welded down to 4" and in the rear up to 5,5". I think this will look fine when the is lowered a little bit more. That´s the plan Wink If someone is interested what i am doing next this is my blog:

then add the original decklid and taillights, change to later headlights and add T-bars, then it will be THE 67 cal looker  Grin
I will follow your blog  Cheesy

looking forward to see it with the SA sprints  Wink

You've done a great job with your car and as long as you like it, that's all that matters.  I think you're on the right path, update the wheels and tires, update the engine and you have an awesome car! Keep going! Cool

No Stevo. It will never be "original" again Grin
At the weekend i mounted the Sprintstars but i don´t like the complete chrome look on the wheels so i decided to detaile them in the original look with a little bit more shine.
This work will take many hours. It´s not easy to detail the small curves in the corners. But the final result will be awesome i think.
On sunday i took the bug out of the garage for a little bit cruisin around the block Cool

Steve the Idea with the spinning tripod is very interesting. I am always doing the indian dance when painting wheels  Cheesy
I will built me such a thing in winter.

Grin

At the moment i don´t know if I like it or not.The style of the car is completely different now. I think it looks a little bit more sporty and bad.

What do you think ?

i think your linkage is wrong, the gold piece needs to be turned 180°..? and the lower arm too (should be towards the fanshroud)

Your guys really now that this crazy shit will really take a lot of money. I love DFL Olafs Old Engine. Maybe it will be something like that...

Thanks for the Note Mate. That was one of the problems i first didn´t understand. It´s my first linkage Wink I changed it and i think it will work now...
