I've used this in the past but not for a long time.  I first used it on the 1302s I rebuilt 20 + years ago.  The complete braking system was  new including hard lines etc.   That worked great.  I then used it on my Notch but only replaced front wheel cylinders but flushed the system with meths.  It was ok but even after rebuilding the master cylinder I had pressure problems (although that still may have been the master cylinder).

For the '58 I have new rear wheel cylinders lined up with my Type 3 brake conversion along with new Goodrich hoses but wondered whether it was worth renewing the front cylinders and master cylinder too and using DoT5.

What experience have others had and what is your advice?

I've realised that I probably need to confirm that when I say DoT5 I mean silicone brake fluid rather than DoT5.1 which is a traditional brake fluid

I did it on my fastback when everything was renewed. Very happy with it.
