Gates is what I've heard as well. Had problems with Meyle and Optibelt turning at 8'000rpm (pulleys aligned.)
Haven't tried the Gates belt myself yet, but from the looks of it, it should be better than the others mentioned. Aircooled.net recommends Gates as well.

Industrial belts have a higher spec than automotive belts, but yes, Gates are right up there, ive had heat stretching problems in the past with various spec motors, keeping them in the groove needed deep vee pulley mods.
