It was no problem, it just popped in at the first try But the raised floor got cut out when the role cage was buiild. He coulden't weld it with it in. So it is history

First run in the new car was great... Went to Thisted friday evening to be ready for the race the day after , and on the way up there, Bang called if I could be there before 21:30 we could get 2 passes on the strip. We made it and got the car of the trailer and after a quick warm up it was on the strip. First pass was 15.065 because I missed 2. gear. Damit 2. pass and we tried again, got the 2. gear and the time was 12:98 I was happy... We packed the cars on trailer and went home to Bang to make some last details on my car. Was some problems with the trottle cable, and my linelock wasen't mounted yet... We got it all fixed by 00:30 and went to bed. ( It was kind of hard to sleep ) Next morning it was race day and we were off the meet up with the other vw racers from Denmark. John Elnef, Allan opstrup, Rasmus Bittetap... After 4 passed in the low 13. I fianny got the best one. 12:59 Here are some pictures from the day :

Cool work and a lovely clean workshop. I thought your Bug was Bitchin' before, but you're moving it up a few more notches.

I've gone mad You're right, you've gone completely mad! You've cut out all the bits that need repairing on my split! I'm a bit surprised you built it for a season then stripped it again rather than starting with a new car though! I don't think I'd have the balls to cut up a finished car!

Søren built it as a street car in 2008, before he tore it apart. Again.

Yes look a good looking workshop... Hope it stays that clean until I have my own cars home..
But Cutting up another Split is worth the dirt.. LOL
Now I just have to make the Carbon parts for it.

Allow me to guess; Depending on the cars weight and the driver, a high to a mid 10 sec run and 280 - 290hp without the vacum pump is where this ends up. Great car, great thread. Keep the updates coming. Xmas holiday is soon around the corner = plenty of time in the work shop.
