Snabba grabben...

« Reply #120 on: April 21, 2010, 09:11:09 am »

This triggered my curiosity and I had to check the FIA rule book that most European rely on;

10.7 HELMETS & GOGGLES

Only helmets in conformity with the standards listed on the current FIA Technical List n° 25 are accepted. As outlined under Class Requirements, drivers in all classes must wear a helmet meeting FIA standards, Snell or SFI Specifications.

SFI Spec 31.1A = Snell SA, open-face helmet
SFI Spec 31.2A = Snell SA full-face helmet

Drivers in E.T. cars (13.99 or quicker) must use a helmet meeting Snell 2000, 2005, 2007 or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, 31.1/2005, 41.1A, 41.2A, or 41.1/2005 Specs. Drivers in supercharged, front-engine, open-bodied cars and Funny Cars must wear a helmet meeting Snell SA2000, SA2005 or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, or 31.1/2005 Specs. Structural modifications to helmet/visor are prohibited. Cutting of helmet or helmet visor prohibited. Helmet must remain as manufactured, except for paint scheme/graphics and permitted non-structural driver modifications to helmet visor as set forth below.Taping or similar modifications to the helmet visor made by the driver that reduce the driver’s field of vision, and are deemed safe by the driver in the driver’s judgment, is allowed at this time so long as the driver demonstrates to the technical inspectors that the purpose of the modification is to reduce distraction in the driver’s field of vision. By using such a modification to the helmet visor , the driver acknowledges and agrees that the driver deems such modification safe in the driver’s judgment consistent with the driver’s obligations. See Class Requirements.
Drivers of any open-bodied car wearing an “open face” helmet must wear protective goggles. Modifications to helmet/visor/visor are prohibited. All helmets must have the appropriate certification sticker affixed inside the helmet.

So apparantly the Norwegian rules are not according to the FIA rules which is not a suprise  Roll Eyes

Good day at the work shop, got a ton of work done... Now the long hours we had in winter paying of... The foile is of the alu plates we made. And is looking really good.

Began the wirring, fitting the AL7 box...

Fuel line are in ( gonna change them to black later )

And most important, I unraised the tranny with 1" in the back.... This meaning that I get at bit more clearence on the cabs, and hopefully wont get in trouble with the wheels hitting the inderfenders. But still a problem when the 58 arrive yahoo_nailbiting..
