This is my race project...
The car is a 1950 split, body is from a swedish forrest far far north. Pan is from a danish car where we cut the body up...
I'm currently making a lot of mods to the pan, to get it ready for my new 2387cc engine that Johannes from JP Motorsport is makig for me.
MS230 and F1 trottles is orded ( Read the rest of engine specs at our web site )
www.TeamAngoraRacing.dk/forum
Right now I just finnished a 2" tranny raise to get the aksels staight ( I'm not a high ass rear guy yet
) Its a lot of work, especelly with the rear tokyo bar setup that the rear shocks is mounted on...
The pan has a 2" narrowed IRS system, with custom made aksels ( Heated surface ) 100mm akselends and so on...
All of this end out in 944 rear vented disc, that I plan to remove and mount trums with studs. ( it to heavy and needless )
The gearbox is not disided yet, Johannes is working on something for me.
The gearbox will be connected to my GWD shifter...
Front is a 8" Angora beam ( we makes beams ) but i'm changing that to a 5 or 6" beam, cause I need the shocks soon...
Currently there is a CB rack and pinion steering on it ( THATS SUCKS ) and will be replaced with annother rack and pinion ( From a Ford sierra... UPS )
Front brakes is CB vent mounted on CB dropped spindles. All of this ends out on a set of original Gssburners ( But need one more to have a set for the slicks )
The body is a 50 split, found in sweden... The patina is real but we had to make some rust but it was lucky is was only some in the heater cannels and rear innerwings... Parts was orded from Wolfparts so the job wasen't difficult...
All of the original windows is removed and placed with lexan...
The split Gauges is placed with Autometer in the ultra lite serie...
I'm getting TSS Racing from Denmark (
http://www.tssracecars.dk/
) making me a roll cage in cromemoly this vinter... In that roll cage I will mount the Krikey raceseat... Only one, the other is sold...
Thats about it!
And last the fat owner next to his car in Vänersborg...

Nice car!!!
Why did you need to custom axles?
Did you weld the IRS mounts more to the middle as to narrow the rear track or what is different with these custom made axles?
very nice:-)

We narrowed the rear IRS because the wheels coulden't be under the fenders..
The IRS was narrowed outside nwxt to where the bearing sits... I see if can find at pic somewhere...

Wow - way cool project and your new engine sounds wicked. Do I hear one new potential 10 sec street car with a engine from JPM? I really like your idea with a pan and tech spec that`s 100% while the shell looks old and real. As a matter of fact I`m thinking of doing something similar this winter - only time will tell.
Up above here you mention that you make your own front beams. Do you make them in alu as well?
Thanks and keep posting pics. I have feeling this will one bad ass project thread.

Yeah, see you tomorrow Bang.
Opdate:
Some of the bluehats will problely not like this...
Okay, thought I may have to explain what I was doing here... I raised the hole innerbox to get room for the 2" tranny raise. I don't what and don't need a alu case behind me. On this way all of the original rubber will still fit in my engine room. Plus the splits have the original pikehole in there. There going to be a little customized stuff far back the the rear panel. But that should be about it... I don't need a bit hole in the rear inner fender like most do, because I'm going to run F1 thottle from jpm.
Plus I wan't to use my rear innerfenders as a engine support.
