yes another tread with 80's cal look but this time with karmann ghia  here we go  this one was very cool , edwin was a brother of a member of dkk club |

|
Not mine, but here are a few not public pictures of Joe Hullet's 1970 ghia. I believe these pictures were taken around 84 or 85. My buddies brother painted it. It had an 82 x 88 IDA engine with N20 and ran 12.0s. The wrecked picture was taken the week after it was painted, it was fixed before being featured in Hot VWs.

the black ghia was a car which inspired me as well as the red ghia on the intro in aircooled vws by colin burnham,its on the left side of the highway with a convoy of bugs in tow,at the time i had a bug and was totally unaware of what a ghia was,but once i had seen one i wanted one!,10 years went by before i bought one

That Ghia is Joe Hullet's car. The engine was a 78x90mm (old school NPR pistons). One of my all-time favorite cars back in the day. |

Re: the blue Ghia ,Edwin "Pee Wee" Barron was a member of DKK. That car when it had the 48 Ida motor is one of my favorite cars ever built. In person it was stunning. Another unknown beautiful car. Bill

have you seen the side of the spoke are painted was this current at that time Thats Because the Polish job Sucked very few Polishing shops would polish the whole wheel it was to much Work and most guy's did not want to spend the extra bucks to take it to the Good Polishing shops |
