New engine project scored for a song

Hey folks, scored a busted up 2387 motor today for $950 here in Phx AZ. Came with ported bugpack Street eliminator heads, CB aluminum case in perfect shape, cima/mahle 94's in great shape, scat 1.4's, flat FK10 cam and pitted lifters, broken DPR 86mm crank with ACTUAL CHEVY RODS, Italian Weber 44's with 36mm vents and a bunch of other stuff.
The Eliminators. The ports look a little sloppy with the guides cut right out. They need some serious work thats for sure but I think they have potential.
The rods are the best part though, lol. I've heard of people actually using Chevy rods but never seen it. 5.625" in length with the caps flipped and the bolts welded in place.
Dan from Competition Engineering was telling me he thinks they are Pauter modified.
Also had some really thin cylinder spacers to accomodate the 86 stroke

Looks like a great deal with potential! Just the case heads and carbs are worth the price you paid. What happened to the crank? Is it cracked? I couldn't tell from the pictures.
I got a similar deal over the summer.....Berg 69mm crank, sump, Berg 865 heads, pair of kadrons, good Berg / engle 110 cam and lifters, German 009, good set of 90.5 pistons and cyls, Berg prepped rods, Plus a whole bunch of miscellaneous parts. Great deals are out there if you look for them. Best of luck with the Project!

Thanks! Definitely sounds like you got a great deal! The crank was actually snapped in two right behind the number one bearing. Never a good idea to lug the engine in 4th gear, which is what he did.

That was the length after measuring center to center.
