Rust free, fully dialed in, great driver, capable of more than holding its own in modern traffic. Lovely high spec. You certainly could not build this car for anywhere near what I am asking. Have how found new project so price has been dropped...

After over ten great years with the car I have decided to sell my 1956 Oval. I bought the car from Bob Van Heyst’s (BBT) private collection back in April, 2004. BVH got the car from the late Bob Scott of California.

Much money, time and effort has been spent since those early days. It is now a stout, reliable and quick driver...

See spec below for the nitty gritty. Please note this car now lives in England. I am happy to ship at purchaser’s expense. Payment in cash or bank transfer. No Paypal.

Please note this car also comes with its original steel wings, and original front and back seats.

Two O.G.4.5-inch fox head Fuchs also available at extra cost if you fancy converting it back to a Cal-looker. An easy job on such a well sorted and rust free Oval.

Engine: 1776cc, 100bhp, VW flat-four; new aluminium crankcases machined for full-flow oil system; counterweighted 69mm crankshaft; Engle 120 cam; straight cut cam gears; Mahle 90.5mm pistons/barrels; CNC ultra mag cylinder heads; chrome molly pushrods; Bugpack conrods; external oil filter and cooler system; deep sump; heavy duty cam followers; twin 40 Dellorto carb kit; CSP dual quiet pack exhaust

Transmission: close ratio box, heavy duty sideplate, super diff; Berg shifter; custom red T-handle

Brakes: CSP discs all round

Wheels/tyres: Genuine American racing five-spokes. 7x15 on the back 5.5x15 in the front (narrowed and x-rayed). 155/15 Pirelli Cinturatos on the front; 215/65x15 BFGs on the back

Bodywork: stock sheet metal apart from flared glassfibre rear arches (original steel wings to be sold with the car); no rust whatsoever; all lettering on the bodywork is hand-painted; drilled T-bars; rear decklid louvred

Interior: OMP Brands Hatch seats, Simpson harnesses; single hoop custom rollbar; Formula steering wheel; Smiths rev counter/oil pressure/oil temp gauges; rear seat removed; aluminium panelling in rear (NB: original front and rear seats included in the sale)

Even though it now does not need one I put the car through the MoT every year. It has just been tested and passed with flying colors.

I have tried to upload pictures but whatever I do they still seem to be too big.

Pictures can be found here...

It's a cool car Max and I'm pretty sure Nigel does have more pics to follow. Here's a couple he sent me when I was interested to buy previously..... [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
