Are they any good? Should I go with the 28mm ones? Using a FK8 with aluminium pushrods and single HD springs and titanium retainers.

I'm using the 28mm ultra lights with smith brothers push rods. 86b and single spring and it's been alright thus far, daily driven in a beetle, coming up to 2k miles I think on them.

Worked perfect in my 1915cc. But they are not lightweight as advertised..

Tool steel are very light and strong, but not in the same price range. But I think that if you are looking for something light and strong, it could be a good option.

Thorsten Pieper, he's a member on here i'm pretty sure, and you can buy the lifters direct from him
sorry i don't have contact details, they weren't all that expensive (given what they are), 250 euros rings a bell but i may be way off there?

i use cb's 28mm ultralights, coupled with good zinc content in the oil they have been faultless with a web 86c and jpm springs, i stripped the motor after 3 seasons and they are perfect.
