I flycut the heads 2.5mm and change the valves to 35 intake and 30 ex. Also put dual carbs 34pci from BMW 700 and Citroen. I have also built a few with cranks with counterweights and 74 stroke. Horsepower is around 65-70hp. I have built one with 9.2 compression but with a camshaft redone by JPM and dual 34pci.

The stock engine can benefit from a raise in CR alone. If memory serves a 2,5 mm flycut raises the Cr to about 7,5 -1. Run 95 octane and rejet. That will increase torque with about 10% and give him a couple of extra hp.

Hello The heads are getting new guides valves and seats . And also a flycut to raise compression. I did not decided howmuch the cut wil be. As i am concerned with the valve geometrie Unlike on the type one this engine has the rockershaft clampt on a U boss Was thinking to cut a copper pipe and slice it in halve to get it under the shaft. Any ideas ?

The engine did his job good
Went 2600km to spain and they got married on 1700 today. My uncle is a happy man . And should return next week The engine did 13km on one liter avg. And can do 90 kmh al day in the spanish heat Not an issue at all Not bad for a 1956 vw .
