Ive made over 200 horsepower with 48 Del'lortos and they're as smooth as injection.

Great to know, since I've got a cherry set of Tri-Jets in the attic for my build!

They just sound soooo cool. Even non-VW people are impressed.
Cal-look dude: "Yeah, I'm running IDAs."
Non-VW dude: "Those are one-barrels, right?"
Cal-look dude: "Yeah, I'm running
Tri-Jets
."
Non-VW dude: "Wow, that sounds badass. Isn't that too much carb for one of these things?"

Great carbs, though mine were switched for IDA's they've since found another home and I have a horrible feeling I'll regret switching them when I drive them again. Like John said they're super smooth and you don't need to think about what you're doing with the pedal, stamp on it and if they're set up right they won't stutter one bit.

IDA´s would perform the same way if set up properly... right ?
regarding extra progression holes - do all run with 3 progression holes, or do people just run with the 2 factory ones ?

I run my IDA's with two progression holes. I've always had a knack setting up carbs , and yes my IDA's do run extremely smooth.
