As in the title, am I going to have issues with my sway away rear adjustable spring plates ( short axles) and dot racemaster 215 mounted on OG gas burners?   I have some spacers but just wanted an idea if I`m pissing against the wind with this set up?

As I remember the tire gets into the body mount before the spring plate adjuster.

I'm using airkewld rear discs. I'm pretty sure they don't increase the rear track.

Try it & see, I have the same tires & spring plates, t3 drums & BRMs, So I have a bit more offset. You can take a bit off the adjuster block, that will gain a little. Spacers will be your friend.

Yes, we had to put a spacer on Jo's ragtop with reg spring plates as they rubbed with those wheels and tyres

I'm on Type 3 drums running 205/65/15 on Gasburners and ended up having to use 13mm spacers. Took a fair bit off the adjuster step first aswell as Bill mentioned. Good luck!!

i would use some porsche 944 rear adjustable springplates, no clearence issues with M&H Dots even with 1" narrowed trailing arms and (your) burners on 944 rear brake hubs

Nope.  Karl must've forgotten the original Q was about swing.
I've also got 944 adjustable spring plates on my IRS car.  TAs narrowed 34mm/side to fit 8" Fuchs.

Hope i'm not hijacking your tread vwhelmot. I have simular concerns at the moment so I tought it would be silly to start another tread😊 
How much clearence do you need? I've just fitted a Phoenix 7x26x15 on at Flat4 BRM to check tire clearence. It's a 1963 swing axle. I have 8mm between the tire and ajuster, is that enough? Can I grind 2-3mm of the ajuster to get better clearence?

I would have thought that 8mm would be enough but if you can get more clearance then I would.

But the system is transferable to swing with modifying the stock springplates
