The red Bus was Paul Mayeda's (Henry's brother) with real BRM wheels. That shot on top of the motorhome is me... waiting to climb down the ladder. That might be Rick Meredith climbing down with the club t-shirt. I'm wearing the club golf shirt. Only had the large round logo on the back and nothing on the front. I still have all of my club shirts. But they're too small for me or my sons. GOD, I was tiny! The silver/black car was Jim Yowell's car and had factory working a/c in it. He's still around Orange County somewhere and we need him for our reunion, next year. The girl behind me sure looks a lot like Lisa Maxwell... she was in our club with a '53½ yellow Split window Bug. But I don't see her club jacket or shirt on. She might be someone's girlfriend. I have pictures from that day in my photo albums. Most of the time, I brought a camera to those gatherings... thank God.

We were very young, dumb, full of bier, but all had an extreme love for air-cooled VW cars. Now... we're old, dumb, hardly any bier, and still lovin' VWs. Not much has changed. HAHA!!

C'mon, DEEKS... bust out with the stories and refresh my feeble old brain. I'm off to surf... the waves are up. Play nice, kiddies. Thanks for posting that, Fabian. Brought back many fond memories of being 19-20 years young again.

The BRM's on the red bay window... were those the wheels that eventually went to Jim Lowe??

I'll have to have Henry ask his brother about that, Danny. Might possibly be true. That sounds like the going price, back then, for those. Sold my EMPI 5 spokes for $800 in 1985, a couple of years later. My, how times have changed.

Yes, those are the same wheels, the wheels on the blue '67 are now on Dave M's car.   GREAT TIMES!!! I see lots of familiar faces
