The report after the first day is that several teams managed new PB's. The fastest ET so far is 6.44 and 340 KPH so there is still room for improvements before records are beaten.

Is Skinne there? thought I saw Jens petter on entry list?
cheers Richie
Ah maybe I just glanced at list to see what big cars were going to put rubber down for us
I'm not there but I can't find him on the entry list. Perhaps you are mixing names because there is a guy called Jens Petter Lindstrom competing in Super Comp.

Well despite a mishap 2 weekends ago with the gearbox I think I am ready to go, was a bit of a thrash to get it all apart, sorted and together again with a different box but its done and I still have a week until I leave
It is now back to pretty much how it ran the 7
cheers Richie

Very good! Talked to Tor Øyvind Skinne today, and he will be there to give you a fair fight for the Fastest Super Charged title
And if we are lucky, Mr Nyström might show also..

What I find most impressive is the steady on-board camera action movies. It says everything you need to know about the quality of the new track.
And I know I should not mention the weather but since you started Richie; it looks really promising for the time being with a steady high pressure coming in early next week.

What happened to the 7-second showdown?
We tried
, only one pass of mine wasn't in 8s all weekend which was pleasing[well the 10 wasn't so much but it was wild
so probably pleasing to watch
], after the 8.29 I had a pass where 60ft was real bad but rest was much better and still went 8.32, that was it though, and the Skinne car had some ignition/ecu/sensor interference issues[ not sure which it actually was as they still hadn't pinpointed it at end] which really limited there runs, was a shame as would have been something to see with both cars going full out &using all the track, maybe it will happen in future
Given the new track only had one meeting on it before this and that was mostly lost to rain it was really good we could run as quick as we did, I managed 1.18 & 1.19 60fts and when it has more events and rubber on it should be real good and be able to push it the whole 1/4 mile
Have to say thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome & did everything they could to make our weekend as good as possible, it really is a pretty unique event from that perspective
Hopefully we did our bit to add to it and put on a good show
even the weather did its bit this year by only raining at night when racing was finished
And as Erlend mentioned so many people ran pbs, well done to all of you
all I saw was smiling faces on sunday afternoon when the event was finished which has to be a good sign for future
I am sure Jo will put up some pictures and videos when she has recovered, I am lucky enough to be able to put my feet up with some friends & tea
for a few days in the remote Norwegian woods and Fjords before I make my drive home
cheers Richie

Cool! Saw Jo's post on FB about your run – it was frustrating for us back home not to hear anything about the event while it was on, so had no idea if it was rain affected or whatever. Ended up watching Hockenheim live feed, but got bored with that!
Safe trip back.

This was my first time at SCC and I had an absolute blast! Even though i was just visiting, this was among the best times I ever had.
Such a great turn-out of extremely fast cars in one place was pretty unique I think.
On top of that and with some help of a Norwegian friend, I could secure a seat on one of the two Schwimmwagens there that took a schwimm in a nearby lake. Bucket list stuff!
Besides the schwimming, there was a well organised slalom at the other end of the track with 15-20 participants.
Lots of other stuff going on still all weekend.
Super friendly people all around, you could just ask anybody anything, so I learnt plenty as well.
Thanks to the organisors big time!
I will definately be back with my car next time.
Walter

I finally got Rabalder into the 10`s
Cracked a cylinder barrel at that run, but I can live on the 10-sec feeling all winter rebuilding the engine
