Hi Everyone, I want to express my congratulations to the DKP show winner STEVE WALKER..!!  He brought out his IMMACULATE 67 sedan that he has been working on and off with for over 30 years. Being a perfectionist and not happy with past results, he finally unveiled the white 67 at friday nights DKP main street event which had over 200 pristine vehicles. Steve has been involved with vw's for many years as a paint and body man and his car was a true stand out..!! With hope, perhaps someone has taken some cool shots of his ride to show to the lounge masses..?   CONGRATS STEVE..!!   ps, There were a LOT of recent completed cars that came out and another one that caught my eye was Bud Bulmers green machine that dazzled the crowd with lots of attention to detail..!!

Possibly best of me to comment. First, I am sincerely honored to have the members of the DKP select my car last night. My competition was genuinely strong.
I send my congratulations to those who spent their long hours of love building their cars for the event.
Don, you are the greatest friend, and I value that a lot!!. I am glad we go back to the earliest days.
While I did allow the 67 to "sleep" for 30 some years, my efforts really came on strong in the past 3 or so years. I wouldn't want anyone to think I worked for 3 decades building my car.
A labor love, I am just happy that I can at long last enjoy driving and not building.
Again, thanks to all who helped, encouraged as well as waited to see what I was going to come up with. I do hope someone has photos taken they can share with us.
Steve
