I found this photo of a magazine feature somewhere online some time ago. I was hoping one of you would have more information on the car or knows which magazine (Volksworld i think?) and when this was featured.

Thanks.

It's a cool car. Volksworld featured it. It had a number plate something like 11secvw but never ran that fast iirc.
Was for sale on oldbug.com ages ago

Seem to remember it was in an issue with a red '67 cab on 17" Porsche twists on the cover. Around 2004ish I think.

It was built by a guy named Roger, cannot seem to remember his last name @ the moment.  Mark H. had a huge hand in the car, very nice hi-end build & I think NOS was supposed to be part of the 11 sec potential. I think it sold for about 17k @ one of the local auctions around here. Pennies on the dollar for what it cost to build.    Bill

So after asking where this car was 2 years ago in this thread, I've managed to purchase the car!

Here it is in my garage Smiley

Looking for any pictures or info people may have about the car and its travels all around the USA and Canada since 2007 ending up with me in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The car fortunately remains relatively untouched from when Roger Sailor finished the car in so-cal circa 2007.

Wow! Quite the update on this one, I don't think I've ever even seen it before! I'd love to get some more details if you're up for posting them!

My car is what it is, maybe not Cal Look per the books, but it's more than most.

The car actually doesn't drive that well at the moment as its been through a lot of owners who haven't maintained it. Only 2000 miles since its resto in 2007, but it needs some TLC.

I'll get it all sorted and then I'm sure it will drive VERY well.

The engine makes a lot of power, comes on strong and sure goes through the close ratio gears quickly!

See the oldbug.com link above with all the details of the car.

Not sure on the overall weight. The car has a lot of fiberglass, lexan and carbon fibre, but also has a cage and sits on an IRS pan, so its probably close to the weight of a stock 1965 beetle.
