So it looks good for the new track and improvements to be finished in plenty of time for SCC with a big event planned 2 weekends before Cool

So what cars can we expect to see? who is planning on going?

Yes I am going and bringing the cabrio with the plan to race all out, then hopefully you will get the chance to see Europes 2 quickest beetles on the same track at same time, same weekend with no restrictions and see who is quickest  Shocked  I am sure the Skinne car will be ready  Cool

Maybe there will even be the chance to see 3 cars going for 7s if Leif will join us? How many 8 second cars will we see, another 3? 5? who knows, if europes big guns can be together at the same times we could easily see 8 cars or more in the 8s or quicker Shocked Wink So will Mexx, Jyrki & Johan join us, with Trond & Espen pushing hard to? I know some new cars are being built, will they be finished in time?

A rumour is Patte will race the fastback again this year, so Patte a rematch is long overdue so will you come?

And how fast will Niklas go with the crazy 1641 ghia on a new track?

It would be good to see the T34 of CSP back out, and maybe some of the quick German cars as well? French, Blgium

Lots more quick cars out there so don't feel left out, come and show how quick you are to the rest of us Cool

Not going to happen anywhere else this year so get your asses out into your garages and get your cars ready for some fun Grin Cool

Note:

This promotionally posting was brought to you by me in return of payment of unlimited tea for the weekend, nothing else is needed Grin Cheesy

Glad to hear you have decided to take the trip. Which events will you visit? Will you also go to BRC? Or perhaps do the grand opening of Gardermoen which involves 5 days for racing?!
I am working on getting my Intercooler repaired so that I can get my car ready for racing again. Hopefully that will be in good time before SCC. But it was a bummer to not get started back in Sweden.

I am not sure yet, I like BRC but have never done Kjula so that appeals, time off for me is not so bad but Jo & others that helps cannot get 2 1/2 weeks off to allow us to do BRC and stay till SCC so still figuring that out.
Sucked you went all the way to Kjula and had the intercooler fail Angry Hope its not to difficult to fix?

cheers Richie

Even though it is not all the way from UK It was still a 900km each way drive  Roll Eyes
The core was torn from the aluminum wall so all the water went to the TB and turbo.. a bit in the engine also, but it was discovered quickly during warm up so no harm done a part from the IC. But it is a custom built IC so needs fixing, not replacing.
I should get a new attempt soon  Cool

Very good! So will there be just SCC or Kjula/BRC also?

We know there is at least one guy wanting to join you in the sevens Wink Will be record-breaking if we see more than one VW doing sevens in one single event!

See you there Smiley

Yep, there is always that one variable you can never be sure about, best example has to be sitting me under the Arch in Old cabrio at Las vegas speedway waiting to pull into burnout and its starts raining, it never rains in Vegas Roll Eyes Shocked

Just SCC, rest of guys couldn't get time off for Kjula as flights are on wrong day/times there and back without using up lots of vacation days travelling and BRC being Friday/Saturday messed that up, just wasn't realistic as I have 3 day race here weekend before it

For SCC they can fly in friday evening after work and home sunday evening

Only worrying thing for me is I never ran an 8 at SCC yet Shocked so need to make some big progress straight away

cheers Richie

This is something I really don't want to miss.

And what a better moment to finally visit this awesome event when a new track surface has been laid!
All conditions seem to be there for great numbers. Richie promising going full out and realising Skinne must be wanting to finally be putting his problems behind him and do well sooo badly could make this an epic event.

Really looking forward to this!!
