It's going for a respray in a few weeks, this is what it used to look like.

This is what it llooks like now.

Now, the guy who's doing the bodywork reckons i should have it L41 black, I on the other hand think it would be a shame to deviate from the original L469 Anthracite.

It was restored 16 years ago but the colour they put on was not a good match to that but, I still think i should keep it the same what do you reckon? Although i do love L41 black.....

I had a similar problem when my 63 went for paint,

I got a great bit of advice-if you cant pick another colour paint it the original colour!

That's handy as i have a set genuine centrelines going on  Wink.

if i do change it, it will have to be a '63 vw colour.

I am very towards keeping it real to be honest, i do love that L41 though.

grey is the way i think

L469 Anthracite. is a pretty cool colour but they aren't exactly thin on the ground I say go balls out and paint it in a big chunky metal flake like Nico's Muppet racer  Cool pure class Grin

Some colours would depent on your interior, but I would go for a "L 315 jungle green" or" BRG" if you dont care on original VW colours, I have think about dark green for my next projekt..., It will go well  with fusch (detailed), or "Gasburners"... Wink..

I have a brick red interior and a set of genuine centrelines to go on.

I would have to stick with a vw colour that's period correct, up to 63.
