I quite like the look of decklid eyebrows, but I'm not quite sure how they'll look on a 1972 1200 - this has the short decklid.
I'm thinking about this from a cosmetic point of view - the motor is 1776 / 40mm DRLAs / Fumio heads / CSP Python exhaust and it's never showed signs of being overheated. The cylinder head temp sits about 260F at 70mph but i've seen it hit briefly hit 350F when climbing up the steepest hilll around here at speed. Oil light (with the Berg flashy thing) has flickered on only once ever and that was because I hadn't put the spark plug seals in properly. But I guess the eyebrows might help with cooling rather than hinder?
So what's the practical pros and cons of having eyebrows, especially in the UK?
The cooling may be different - better or worse?
Am I likely to get more water / dust / filth / vermin into the engine bay?
Anything else I might want to think about?
I had a look around for threads which might be relevant but I didn't find one with a picture of short decklid, in finished paint and on a late model car. Anyone have a picture?
