So finally, after ten years of drag racing with this motor, it's being treated to a rebuild.

This is the first time the case has been split, whilst I have owned it, and the internal components aren't known.

The engine is a 2.7 litre Type 4, allegedly built in the USA by F.A.T. Performance.

Can anyone identify what make of con rods these are? (They have Chevvy journals)

Thanks

Why not drop Ron Fleming a line at FAT Performance? He'll be able to tell you if it was a FAT-built motor or not.

The left rod in your photos has been very hot at some point (probably spun a bearing in its past) judging from the 'blueing' of the metal.

I've been on their website but I can't find their email address anywhere?

Could someone forward FAT Performances email address to me please?

Thanks.

No, still don't know what make they are but Ron was able to recommend a torque setting for the bolts.

Cheers.

Cunningham rods is still in business, maybe ask them directly ? They will be able to recognize their forgings by the big end shape/markings

http://www.cunninghamrods.com/index.html

If your rods are made by Cunningham they are a quality product compared to todays chinese generic/no name rods.

Went to the Cunnigham rod website. That's a great resource as they can make any rod configuration needed. I didn't know about this company, thanks for posting this!
