Beetlebug, that's the best looking turbo engine I've ever seen. Nice touch using the Porsche spares, too. Very light and functional wheels.

WOW guys, many thanks for the nice feedback. Highly appreciated! Today I have lowered the front 1 cm and the rear 2 cm. I have also softened up the rear a little bit and I hope this will allow the car to transfer weight a lot more effective compared to what it did at SCC. It span the tires in first and second gear. I have also added thicker caster shims and I hope this will give me a little better high speed stability. Other than that I have increased the cold start temp compensation. During SCC I experienced that the ECU would shut off the cold start compensation during the burn out and the engine stalled. The engine works ok and I`m satisfied but it still needs to show it`s potential on the strip. On the streets it is great fun though Again thanks! Yes really nice looking engine! That was a different location for oil filter(i guess because of the turbo location). What oil filter mount is that?

You nailed the stance, Beetlebug... looks great! Also, is it my old eyes... or is the color Zenith Blau? Hard to tell in the pics.

Thanks!!
I think I will keep the look after lowering just a tad like I did yesterday but I would easily sacrifice the stance over improved handling. Regarding the oil filter location, I wanted to make the oil lines as compact at possible so that any spill would be collected in the mandatory tray/diaper. The AN8 oil lines follow the sump to the filter and I`m using the bolt holes in the the engine case to fasten them. The filter mount is from Jay Cee. No problems at all with the oil temp and on a hot day with a closed lid it will reach 195F while cruising. When I boost it will increase just a little and then drop again. Mind you that I`m using a dog house oil cooler. The turbo is mounted as high as absolutely possible considering the location to help with the oil return which will always be a issue when the turbo is mounted low:

DKK Fred, your old eyes are working perfectly fine, what is left of the paint is indeed Zenith blau

Thanks! Not sure about the old owners, maybe you could ask them? They are hereby invited to take it for a test drive

Hey Kalle - any chance of some details on your motor? Who made the EFI/throttle body setup? what turbo is it? etc etc HEY... that`s secret! Need to find out if it works well before I hand out all the details. It is just a ordinary 2332 with a old school T4b turbo from Turbonetics/Borg Warner The man behind my decision to go turbo is Mr Webb and I can thank him for helping me gather lots of the parts I have used. I guess it must be those long nights after SCC that turned me over to the dark side BTW, took the "new look" for a test drive today together with my friend Torgeir that owns my old 65 looker. And what a difference it was compared to the more aggresive stand it had earlier on the pictures above. I ended up lowering it 2 inner/ 2 outer clicks but do believe I will end up with 1 inner / 1 outer. When I earlier lost grip in 2nd og 3rd when the boost builds ( 9 psi ) the car now moves more effectively forward. It was a real blast to drive today! Enough about my car, back to cal-lookers. Cheers It now is 2110 40x35.5 044 heads mildly ported by myself FK8 cam 1.4 Rockers 15lb flywheel 9:1 compression 1 5/8 full Stainless exhaust from VW Speedshop. 44mm Weber IDFs Built by myself. I've not had chance to run it down the strip yet, I had hoped to run it this weekend. I have been let down on parts delivery so it is looking unlikely now. Previously I was running a w120 cam with 1.25:1 rockers and 40 Dells, the best 1/4 mile time I managed was 15.4 @ 88mph, not exactly quick, could probably do with better heads.
