Woohoo! 850km round trip in rain with trailer to collect the '\new' car. It's every bit as good as i hoped and sounds awesome.
Only damage in transit was a scrape on the right front fender, which is no big deal. Lot of nice details on the car – Mark Chapman who built it clearly had high standards.

Let the fun begin... Smiley

Hahaha! You owe me a drink, then! The paint is all fresh (as is the whole car) so trim stays. May shave the turn signals at some point, though...

First things: muffler, CR drop, windshield wipers/washers, sort back seat area, wheels & tyres for the street, UK MOT and registration...
Later: who knows? Cage, gear ratios, diff...

Just takes money and time, both of which are in short supply right now! Roll Eyes

At the moment it has 3.88 r&p with 4.25; 2.54; 1.78; 1.31 – I would probably go with same first and second mainhshaft, with 1.56 and 1.21 3rd and 4th.

looks good, got pics of the interior?

Just clean and simple – and all new, too...
Also has a Kerkey aluminium race seat fitted to VW runners that can be swapped in at the track.

fantastic Keith!

Nice idea but a) can't afford to get a legal cage sorted yet (and wouldn't want to turn up without one, would I...) and b) I'm not giving the RAC a year's-worth of licence money for one event! Smiley

Nothing wrong with that gearing, actually sounds pretty sexy to me. Should make your heavy car jump out from the start as long as you got grip. You`re not going to supercharge it anyway are you?

I had those gears in my car - always went rather well! Only thing is that that fourth gear is lower than the standard third gear so it'll take Keith about three weeks to drive from his house to the track! Tongue
