It's old school for a reason

« on: October 03, 2007, 16:08:50 pm »

Handed in my notice today at work and leaving at the of October to start a new business venture.

Funny how you can go from golden balls  to black sheep in 24 hours . Funny thing is it wasn稚 new, news as I told the boss I wanted to do something on my own at the start of the year.  Huh

Perhaps he never thought I would.

Oh well live and learn  Wink

Thanks lads

Even more difficult when family are involved  Roll Eyes

Its a new kitchen showroom and an online mail order store selling interior products, wallpaper, lighting, tiles etc.

Needed a change so we値l see how things go. Its not the best time of year to start but I can afford to give it 12 months to get up and running before it has to make any real money, so it should be fun.  Grin

Should have done it two years ago but a twisted sense of loyalty made me stay and roll along on autopilot.

I could stray and do my job with my eyes shut but I知 bored out of my skull.

Boss came and apologised late this afternoon for spitting his dummy out this morning and offered a nice pay rise etc but it would be too easy to say and get back in the rut.

Out into the real world again   Grin

I seriuosly doubt you`re the only one in the situation you describe above but I do believe you`re one of very few with the guts to do something with it! Congrats AND respect!
