MOT passed at 5:30!

Dad and I are over at the unit working on the 2007 - I'm setting valves and dad is dumpling valve covers for clearance. Header is on but motor is still on the bench.
About to call it a fail and just use the 1500 to get me to the track so at least ive got my car there. I don't want to pull the 1500 out and then not get the 2007 in and working and have to leave the car at home.
Keep on keeping on. Neil.

Just home, still with 1500. Carried on until just after 10pm and went to get the carbs and linkage. No carbs. Pair of 48IDFs missing. Eventually found them in a box in completely the wrong place at 10:50 by which time we were just looking to make sure they hadn't been stolen after our break in last year.
Brought car home, followed by dad, then had to get a lift back up to Wolverhampton to collect my daily driver!
I'll see you all later - I'll be the one asleep on the banking with a small boy shouting "car!" every time one goes down the strip!

I don't think so Eddie, it's only a public track weekend / RWYB that the VWs are taking over!  I'll ask Peach in a bit tho.

Had a great day today, met up with plenty of old friends, didn't see much racing due to small boy, but evening cruise was great fun! I haven't taken any photos but I know quite a few of the others did!

Ron and I had a great day – damn it was hot!

Good to put some names to faces. Congrats to all involved for what looked like a fun no-hassle weekend.

Love Danny's Notchback and would happily have taken it home with me! Sad not to see No Mercy make a pass, but not as sad as I am sure Russell and Richie were. It will be awesome once it's on track and I personally can't wait to see it in action.

Again, well done all, and thanks for making us feel welcome. My last trip down the strip at Avon Park (oops, showing my age...) was in 1997. 20 years ago - where did the time go?

Until next time...  Cool

Start of the cruise for Street car shoot out, there were more cars who made it as well but these were only pictures we got so if anyone has pic of whole line up please share Smiley

Cruise went well, total distance was just over 28 miles through some great scenery in local villages, then few miles on open roads at 60-70mph,  and back through the town center,  the stop start traffic through Stratford on a Saturday evening was fun, throughout  the cruise we had an amazing amount of people waving, pointing & staring, cars flashing lights, even taking videos and pictures as we passed through which was cool  Cool

Thanks to everyone that took part Cool

Nice vids richie.
It was me you gave the rocker cover gaskets to .....cheers for that . I'd wouldn't have made the racing  without  it.
It looked like there were some "official" type photographer's track side ?? They had high vis on anyway .........do they
host their pic's anywhere?  I'd have liked  a nice  pic of my car on track,I probably won't make back racing there before it becomes
a housing estate....... Cry
