That is a great story. To bad HVWs doesn't reprint some of the vintage tech articles they have from past issues. I have about worn out my copy of the HVWs second engine book. (That 2007 w/ Fumio heads rocked) What gets me is the torque curve on the 1800 cc engine even with that small cam. I bet that engine would be a blast around town.

Is that out of the old Hot VW's engine book? If so, how bout' Jim Kaforskis' 204hp 2275. Pretty rare to see that power on that dyno out of a pump gas motor. Back in those days! Seems like everyone claims to have 200+ these days. I would let him help me on any motor, any day!!! Cool Shocked Grin Wink.
