Hi,

this weekend at Phoenix Dragway Germany:

First roll out of the ex- Typ3 Turbo notchback, now in Bernd Trautmann´s Hands.
The HOT CHOCOLATE dragster with Ron Lummus frame has been rebuild by him and we put in a 2.4 Type1 with TF-1 case, Super Flow´s, IDA´s.... (232hp on the dyno, thanks to Udo Becker!).  Grin

Hoping for a nice weekend and some good passes of this well-known race car in Bad Sodernheim!!!

Cheers

Fantastic, thanks for the extra pics. Didn't it have a Subaru engine in recent times?

Yes, this car had different engines in there. First one was a Pauter with Turbo.

Almost everything worked great on this Weekend at the new 1on1-motorsports Phoenix Dragway Germany for the comeback of Hot Chocolate!

First run was a 14.35 and the car ran straight down there and Bernd drove the 2nd run with more throttle in 12.1 !
All other runs were slower, just because of little problems with the line lock and fuse.

Very nice to see the hot chocolate back on the track. Last time I saw it (with subaru power) was at Bitburg when the wiedmann brothers had their fingers on it.
Congrats to the first outing after rework.
Hope to see it at DDD in Sept.

In general how was the first meeting and track condition at the phoenix dragway?

Have fun,
Felix

Thanks !

The area of the Phoenix DragWay is really nice, i would say better than in Bitburg. The Strip was good for me, because of the 9" Slicks (Phoenix: 1,55/60feet, 11.83/175km/h; Bitburg: 1,46/60feet, 11.5 - 11.7/178- 180km/h).
All others with smaller ones had little grip Problems. And we had a lot of head wind and it was very warm!

In case that it goes on with it, they can do some more preparation or more rubber of the drivers helps to get more grip. Smiley If it´s colder and not so windy on DDD, we can hope for good ET´s.  Grin
