Intercooler/Charge cooler/meth injection/nothing ?

All,
I am toying with turboing my 1776 this coming winter. Its full EFI (fuel and spark) through ITB's and makes 125-130 Flywheel HP. Its a weekend only, limited mileage car.
I have the following question - do I have to cool the charge ? I know its technically preferred, especially if you want more boost, but can I do without ? I know a lot of the CB kits never had any chargecooling.
Intercooler - space issues and aesthetics
Charge cooler - needs separate rad, pump etc And it has WATER in it , doesn't seem right !
Meth injection - maybe the easiest of the three ?
Or nothing ?
On my setup i have intake temps to the ECU. I have 2d trim tables that can adjust spark and fuel according to intake temp
I also have 4 EGT sensors, and again can adjust spark and fuel through 2d tables from these.
I'm not really thinking of anything much more than 7-10psi of boost.
Would wellcome some thoughts on this from those vastly more experienced !
Thanks
Steve

Injection will add more power by cooling the intake thus packing in more air since the air is cooler. In theory, it will also help to cool your motor and help to make it last when running that extra power. We were looking at adding it to my engine, using the windshield washer bottle, but never did. Doing the plumbing so it works reliably and effectively is not as simple as it sounds, unfortunately.
What CR is your 1776? When my engine was that size, it was 7:1 with SH heads, and had up to 15psi on pump gas and worked great! No complaints from me and the engine was in perfect shape after running it for a while on the street.

9.5 at the moment and runs very cool indeed, but will drop it to a shade under 8.5 if I do this.....

That's what mine is currently. It was 7:1 only because it was an original Berg low cr engine from the 1990's. In theory, low cr means high boost, and higher cr means low boost. I've had both now and they are both good except the low cr came on with more of a bang and was more dramatic, and a helluva lot of fun! If you can try out both low and high, that would be ideal and see which you prefer.

8,5-1 and the boost you need to achieve your goals.
Round cylinder IC works good, does not take up much space, but you need water.
Access to E85? Run it!

The ecu can also be used to control the water/meth injection similar to nitrous.
For a limited use street car that could be helpful.
