CB Performance rotary pump capabilities?

I have used successfully the CB Performance rotary 3.5psi pump on my 2276cc oval. I like it as it doesn't require a separate regulator.
Thinking about what pump to run on the Notch, initially running a 230-240 bhp normally aspirated motor. Will the CB pump cope with that?

I have used a rotary pump for years. Was having lots of problems with my new motor running 48idas. Before I hooked up the rotary I replaced the filter. Curious as ever I cut it in half and it was pretty clogged up. Sucking out of ancient petrol tanks😊. Anyway I attached a gauge to check the pressure it was bang on 3psi after all these years. I measured flow into a jug more than enough for a 200hp engine.

I received a pm on another forum, from someone who mentioned to me that switching from the CB Carter rotary pump to another pump (I believe a Holley) moved their Beetle from stubborn low 12's to well into the 11's in the 1/4-mile first time out.

That's interesting. Wonder why that would make so much difference?

Was most likely running bowls low .
Now new pump keeps them full , no more lean due to low fuel level

Thanks guys,
Looks like a new pump is required. What colour Holley is needed for Ida's?
Is there a better alternative?
