Really depends on header, usually whatever brand header/muffler I have to make them fit. These are both the same mufflers scat sells but on different brand headers, as you can see one sits a lot lower from apron on blue car

Here is a pic of a Scat merge 1 5/8 system and mufflers on my 58 euro car. I was not happy with the fit and look at all. I have spent a long time finding an old Gene Berg system, they fit so much better!

Thanks for the pictures. My header is more like on the cab Richie

But darn! Now I want noting ells but the Berg system... so much better fit! And I like that the bends don't go as long back from the car.

Berg have something for sale, but Gene is not so good with the camera so it's hard to tell what is what.

From looking at the link to the Berg units they sell now, they look just like the Scat unit I had that I didn't like....not positive but they are different from the old units for sure......The A1 units look nice, very pricey though. I paid a lot less for my whole system than they sell just the mufflers for.

Berg, Scat, and CB all sell systems made by Al`s headers in So Cal. They are good quality but need work to fit "Right". EMPI sells Bugpack exhaust which are better looking in my opinion.
